Sima Bina Nawai

This beautiful old tune originally belongs to the music from the south of the province Khorasan (Torbat-e-djam), but in every region of this province it is played in a special way and its own taste on the Dotar. Traditionally Nawa'i refers to Ali Shir Nawa'i, the famous Minister of Timur.

Despite all common roots, the folk music in each different part of Iran has certain characteristics in correlation with its native native myths , dialects, geographical and social situation and does not enjoy the unity of style. In every region, for instance, there are certain melodies and modes which belong to that particular ethnic culture , althoug part of them could be traced down in the iranian classical music.
